RV Warranty Work in Southeast Michigan
RV Tech To Go works with most major third-party RV warranty providers, along with select OEM manufacturers, to get your covered repairs done right at your RV.
OEM Warranty Work
We provide warranty service for Forest River and Brinkley RV, and take on OEM warranty repairs for other manufacturers on a case-by-case basis.
What Manufacturer Warranties Typically Do Not Cover
Manufacturer warranties generally cover the replacement part and the manufacturer's approved flat-rate labor time. They do not always reflect the realities of mobile RV repair.
Customers may be responsible for:
- Diagnostic time: Manufacturers typically cover the repair, but not the time required to diagnose the problem.
- Additional labor: If the manufacturer's approved flat-rate labor time is not sufficient to complete the repair due to limited access or other real-world conditions, the customer is responsible for the additional labor required.
- Service-call fee: Our mobile service-call fee is not covered unless the manufacturer has approved it in advance.
- Minimum labor charge: Our one-hour minimum labor charge applies to all service calls. If the warranty repair requires less than one hour, the customer is responsible for the remaining balance of the minimum charge.
- Multiple service visits: Most OEM warranty repairs require at least two visits: one to diagnose the issue and another to install the replacement part. Our standard service-call fee generally covers these two visits. Additional trips may incur an additional service-call fee.
- Disposal fees: Disposal of old appliances or replaced components is not covered by the manufacturer.
Our Commitment
We'll work directly with the manufacturer to maximize your warranty coverage whenever possible, and explain any expected out-of-pocket costs before we start so there are no surprises. If you'd prefer to avoid those costs entirely, having your warranty repairs completed at an authorized dealership may be the more economical option.
Third-Party Warranty Providers
We work with most major third-party RV warranty and extended service contract providers and will handle the claims process on your behalf whenever possible.
How the Process Works
Contact Your Warranty Provider
Before scheduling service, we recommend contacting your warranty or service contract provider to report the issue and verify your coverage.
Schedule Your Appointment
We'll inspect your RV and diagnose the problem during your service appointment.
We File the Claim
Once we've diagnosed the issue, we'll contact your warranty company and submit the claim on your behalf.
Claim Approval
After the claim is approved, we'll review your coverage and explain any out-of-pocket costs before completing the repair.
Repair Completion
If the necessary parts are in stock and the claim has been approved, we'll complete the repair during the same visit whenever possible. If parts need to be ordered, we'll schedule a follow-up appointment to finish the repair.
What You'll Need
To file a claim, please have the following available:
- Your warranty contract or coverage summary
- Your deductible amount
- Your warranty company's customer service and claims phone numbers
- Your RV's VIN
Customer Responsibility
Payment is due at the time of service for:
- Your deductible
- Our service charge, if it is not covered by your warranty provider
- Any non-covered parts, labor, or services
We will bill your warranty or service contract provider directly for all approved covered repairs.
Your deductible is due during your first service visit.
Items Commonly Not Covered
Most extended warranty and service contracts do not cover:
- Freight or shipping charges
- Shop supplies
- Disposal of old appliances or components
Service charge coverage varies by provider. Some plans cover it in full, some cover a portion, and others do not cover it at all.
Additional Repairs
Most warranty providers allow multiple covered repairs to be included on a single claim. If you have other items that need attention, let us know during your appointment. It's a great opportunity to have additional covered repairs addressed under the same claim.
After the Repair
Once the work is complete, you'll digitally sign the service invoice. We'll then submit the approved balance directly to your warranty company for payment.
